I started this as an abstract with no real plan but subconsciously have ended up with another climate-focused artwork. I do worry about the Koalas and as I could see a koala shape in the mass of green, I decided to add a faded expressionist Koala with Black leaves and shapes representing disappearing forests and bushland. I think this painting would definitely be a conversation piece in any home.
I have used an Ampersand Claybord - so smooth and wonderful to paint on, and with the this black frame and floating artwork it definitely shines. This panel is double varnished so no glass necessary over the art. You can admire your painting with no glare or reflections. I have done a floating artwork mounted on glass with a slimline black mount board underneath. It looks amazing and really showcases the artwork.
